This is from a company that I recently read about in a teaching blog. They create both hardcover and softcover books of student work that can be purchased (or not) by parents. They do provide one free copy of a hardcover book to the classroom, which is why I opted to try it out. The books will not be processed without a returned order form from every student. As I mentioned in Friday’s email, we “practiced” this interview process (student ASKS question, LISTENS to response and THINKS about what their grandparent said to make sure it makes sense to them while adult writes down the answers) using FaceTime with my mom. During our study of biography, we realized that many of the people we read about has affected change by becoming role models for other people. As a class, we discussed the ways that having a role model can make a difference in a person’s
