Weekly Update for the Week Ending
Friday, March 23
Family Heritage Night
Mark your calendars for our Annual Family Heritage
Potluck on Thursday, March 29th! This event is in celebration of our family
heritage study. We will begin the evening in the second grade classrooms from
5:30 to 6:00, where you will get a chance to look at your child’s Family
Heritage Scrapbook and the family trees. Dinner will be back at the MPR from
6:00 to 7:00
This Week’s Focus
This week, a lot of our work
will be focused on completing the projects associated with Family Heritage
Night on Thursday.
We hope you will be able to
join us.
MVSD Email Issues
At this point, I hope that
you have gotten word about the district’s email troubles. It seems that MVSD is experiencing unusual
and unpredictable email problems. Some
outgoing mail from MVSD addresses is being delivered and some is not. Please reach out if you think you may have
missed some communication from me.
Feedback from Guest Teacher
On Friday, we had a guest
teacher for the afternoon. Actually, it
was essentially from 12:20 – 1:50, as kids end their Fridays in PE. Unfortunately, the feedback that I received
from the guest teacher was not great.
While she did mention that the vast majority of the students were
helpful and focused, there were a handful of students that apparently continued
to make poor choices and created a less-than-productive and happy
environment. We will be talking about
this in class on Monday. It could be
helpful to have a discussion about classroom behavior (even when the “cat” is
away) with your child at home.
