in room 15, we strive to be focused and relaxed Weekly Update for the Week Ending Friday, June 8 COMPLETELY in denial You may have noticed that my mentions of the impending end of year have been minimal.   I think that’s because I’m mostly sad about the end of this year.   Having been around for some time, I know a special class when I feel it.   And that is what your kids created this year.   They brought their humor, their fears, their energy, their challenges, their excitement, their hearts and their discomforts to room 15 and shared them all generously.   Together, we each got a little better at being FOCUSED AND RELAXED (I’m still trying) and we worked together. WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE

August 16, 2018 Dear Room 15 Family, I would love to be the first to welcome you to 2nd grade!   I hope that everyone is enjoying the remaining days of the summer.   While it has been great to spend more time with my own family during the past two months, I am very excited to get back to Edna Maguire to begin a wonderful new school year.    I hope that you are expecting a fun and full second grade year.   It’s true that you will see your child develop independently at an incredible pace.   We will continue to rely on your support and involvement throughout the school year to make the most of this growth.   We’ll talk more about this at Meet the Teacher Night, but please be thinking about ways that you might enjoy helping us all out this year.   Some things that you can look forward to learning about with your child this year include;             •The history ...
