Weekly Update
for the Week Ending
Friday, May 17
Dear
Room 15 Families,
This week, we will be focusing on using our rainforest research to
help us build our rainforest animal slides.
It
would be helpful if you asked your child to login to his/her Google Drive
account at home and show you what has been worked on so far. If there is any problem with this, please let me know asap so that
we can help solve it. Your child will be
more successful with this project is s/he has some access to this at home. This is not required, but will allow students
an abundance of time to play with fonts, background color, choosing images,
layout of slides and just overall revision.
Thanks so much to the adults that were able to join us on Friday’s
trip to the Academy of Sciences. The
kids had fun, learned some stuff and got to enjoy a beautiful day outside
during lunch. Shawna, Leonie, Doug, Liz,
Lindsay, Brooke and Kerryàwe could not have done this without you!
We are
continuing our math routine focused around MATH
FACT FLUENCY. Continued progress may
require practice at home. There are many
resources to help build this skill. In
addition to flash cards and various workbooks, https://gregtangmath.com is a personal favorite and offers a whole bunch of options. These include online games, printables, books
and puzzles geared to help build math fact fluency in fun and productive ways.
•REVISION INQUIRY: We would really love to have you come in
and share your experience about how you use mistakes in your life. More
