Weekly Update
for the Week Ending
Friday, April 26

Dear Room 15 Families,

I hope you all had great fun at Edna’s Garden Faire on Sunday.

You are invited to join us for our Readers’ Theatre presentation of Six Fables on Friday, May 3 at 8:50 in the MPR.  This is a very informal performance, but the kids really wanted to use the big stage.  We hope to see you there for our skits.  We expect that this will last about 30 minutes.

REVISION INQUIRY: We would really love to have you come in and share your experience about how you use mistakes in your life.       More info here

•We made final revisions to the fable script.
Math
•We worked on the content of module five.
•We practiced working on multi-digit addition and subtraction using models and the algorithm.
Science/Social Studies
•We tested how heating a mixture can change that mixture.
Other stuff
•We met with our buddies.
•We focused on 8 (of the 12) traits of a Mill Valley Learner Profile.
•We noticed how the traits above show up in book characters, fables and in each other.
•We had our first cooking class and loved it.

CONGRATULATIONS
These students showed PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT on the
Weekly Math Review
(made up of mixed computation problems)
as compared with the previous week.
We took an end of module test on Friday instead of a Math Review.  Normal Math Reviews will return this Friday.  Actually, we had a form a formative assessment in place value instead of traditional math review again last Friday.
